At just 1 year and 7 months old and 49 pounds, Darlene is a goofy, snuggly mixed-breed girl with the sweetest face and a look that is completely her own. 🥹

But there’s something we really want you to know about Darlene…

The shelter is HARD for her. 😭

She becomes extremely stressed in her kennel. She frantically wants to get out, and then when it’s time to go back in, she panics. Watching her struggle like this breaks our hearts. 💔

But once Darlene is out, she is a completely different girl.

She absolutely LOVES one-on-one time with her caretakers. She’s incredibly snuggly, wonderfully goofy, and has just the right balance of silly and sweet. 🥰 She also enjoys the company of other dogs!

Darlene doesn’t need to spend her days feeling scared and frantic. She needs a person who will see past the kennel stress and give her the chance to show them who she really is.

Behind that kennel door is a goofy little snuggle bug just waiting for her person. ❤️
