Sometimes, the dogs in shelters aren’t there because they did anything wrong… sometimes life simply changes in heartbreaking ways. Sometimes beloved pets lose their owners when they pass away. In an instant, these dogs lose everything they’ve ever known: their person, their home, their routine, their sense of safety. They end up in a loud, unfamiliar shelter environment through absolutely no fault of their own.

That’s exactly what happened to King.

King is a 6-year-old neutered male who recently lost his owner, and now finds himself trying to make sense of a world that suddenly feels very different. Despite everything he’s been through, King remains so loving.

This sweet boy is dog-friendly, already neutered, microchipped, up to date on his immunizations, and potty trained. King is truly a ready-made companion for someone that wants to give him a home where he can feel safe, where he can grieve, heal, and be someone’s best friend once more.
